Reactivating incomplete downloads

My computer crashed the other day while I was downloading some files with BearFlix, and when I started it again, and entered the program, the files that I was downloading were not there, in the "Downloads" tab. But in the folder where I keep the partial files, they're there. What can I do to resume downloading them? I had a look on the forums but didn't find anything that helped me...
I have Bearflix but I suppose it works the same as bearshare.
Please, if anyone could help me, i'd be very grateful! I am on Dial-up connection and have been waiting for those files for ages! I can't start all over again...
Thank you in advance!

Look at those files again. Can you see a .dat file and a .dat.bak file for each
download? Delete the .dat files and remove ".bak" from the names of the
.dat.bak files. Restart BearShare and the downloads will probably be there
again.

If you cannot see the filename extensions go to the Tools menu in your
Explorer window and Select Folder options. In the Folder Options, go to the
View tab and remove the checkmark from "Hide extensions for known filetypes"
and hit the OK button.

It didn't work... Maybe it's worth mentioning that I ran Windows CHKDSK after my computer crashed and it repaired some errors with those files. Maybe it's because of that... ?

I guess you lost them. Might as well delete the remains and reclaim that space.

At least none of those files were large downloads and not much time was
wasted on them.

Was that a FAT type of partition? NTFS almost never loses a file completely,
so reverting to the backups almost always works. You might want to consider
using the converter utility.
