License Acquisition : No more bearshare? So I was downloading and listening to music on bearshare (like I had done for the last 5 months) when all of a sudden my laptop crashed. I rebooted and verified the disc which stated that some files involving bearshare were being "truncated". Upon opening bearshare I was no longer able to play any of my previously downloaded content or any new content. The problem seems to be that bearshare cannot acquire a license for anything. I reinstalled bearshare and windows media player many times and I even tried to rollback WMP to version 10 even though I had been able to listen to bearshare files with version 11 pre-crash. I've contacted bearshare but have gotten no reply. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anyway to fix this problem? I really enjoyed being able to discover any new artist even if it cost me 7.95 a month. Someone please help! |
Those files will never play again. You might as well delete them. The DRM they used is unrepairable but they won't admit it. Try a version of BearShare that wasn't crippled like that. See this thread: Sticky: BearShare has been sabotaged. |
