wmv files not playing?

hi everyone, i have downloaded a couple of .wmv files and i cant play non, of them, what exactly is the reason cant find any solution on the net.

somebody help me out here?

Try this player VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) & also see Setting Default video app

Else see CODECs list and alternate players for Movies b/c you are most likely missing codecs. VLC has in-built codecs.

so you mean that the files are not corrupt or filled with spam and viruses? cause other .smv files from websites work fine, but it is bearshare downloaded files that dont work.

Analyze them with the [GSpot Codec Information Appliance]. ;]
