Best connection settings for me. Help!
 

Hi there i have got bearshare pro 5.2.6.0 and i am looking to get all my settings updated to what my internet speed is capable of i have 8MB bt total broadband HUB connection what should i change my settings to?

Hate to sound pedantic but it is probably 8Mb, as in Mega bits, which makes a big difference...
A few questions...
Are you behind a firewall? if so have you enabled Bearshare to go through the port 6348 (or whatever you set it to)?
Is your connection symmetric or asymmetric?
Are you sharing the connection with more than 1 computer?
And finally.
What is the capital of Assyria? (cliché I know)

The default settings should be good. They are already set for a typical broadband connection.
What are the four status lights doing?
