Trouble Setting up Downloads options
 

I´m running 5.2.5 on vista... And lately my downloads a slow due to few connections per file... i use to put 25 per file... but since... when i try to type 20.... it comes back to 8 and make a "dig"... and also the total connection i cannot change up to 20...

Anyone got a clue what it could be?

BearShare doesn't recognize Vista's version number and reverts to Win98 restrictions.
To restore full performance, upgrade to any version of Windows XP. :p
If you've done that, try b25 if you want the maximum performance (50 conn. per file) from your computer.

somethong still... wrong.... i´ve managed to instal b25+B-Utilyties... but... i stil stuck at 8 per file

Yeah. Vista is still not ready for prime time, and it may never get there as long as that beta test
of that super-draconian DRM forces drivers to run security checks on the hardware over 30
times a second. I advise everyone who asks not to even touch it until it has been on the
streets for a couple of years.

Like I said on Monday, try b25 if you upgraded to XP. No version of BearShare recognizes Vista.

At least with b25, you can switch it manually into ultrapeer mode in Setup/Service.
That's a huge performance boost for searching and making sure people find your shared files. ;]

i can not get limewire to search message says wait until fully connected by limewire,
i wait ages nothing happens help????

That problem should go to the LimeWire Connection Problems section. ;]
