Peerless | November 20th, 2007 09:52 AM | it might also be a problem related to your machine's capabilities and the fact that when you download a file its parts are spread all over your drive (i.e. the file is heavily fragmented)...with a slower cpu with a low amount of RAM this can cause the effect you are describing...it can of course also be a bad file...
if you have another drive available (either by partition or another physical HDD) move the file over (it will automatically get defragmented) and try playing from that location...even with modern machines monthly defragmentation is a good thing, with older machines weekly is many times required for good performance |
