![]() Last month BearShare updated us and now most of the the downloading movies are highlighted in red - as in problematic, or something. And, hardly any movies will even copy anymore; unless its a really fast-copying movie, like [edit]. Is it just that 5.2.5 is a bad version? Should I just find an earlier version and lose everything I have copying now? (some movies take 2 months and more to complete). __________________________________________________ Edited to comply with the House Rules. ![]() 5.2.5 is definitely untrustworthy, especially if recently updated, because the people in control of it right now are closely associated with the RIAA and have been seen recently trying to steal Shareaza too. If you get the version in this other thread and install it right on top of the 5.2 version, your downloads should still work, and in fact are much more likely to complete. |

![]() Thanks for the info on the Bearshare thingy. We have some movies that need subtitles or voices (for dubbed over ones) but are afraid to download another program that could cause problems - can you suggest one that is known for its safe-ness? Another thing, is Limewire better than Bearshare? Does it cause less problems? And do they have as many movies? |
