Download Directory I have tried to set my download directory to "D:\My Music" but I get a message that says that this is not a valid directory for download. The directory does exist on my hard drive. What is wrong? |
Try using Windows Explorer to first create the directory, if the directory is already there try renaming it to just "Music" then set BearShare to use that folder for downloads. |
This directory already exists and Windows would not let me rename it. |
Oh, I just love windows. NOT! Well if it is a BearShare problem, uninstalling it then reinstalling will fix anything weird that is not a bug. And I have never hear that problem before so most likely it is not a bug. But is sounds like something windows is doing to me. |
I can set it to save to other directories on the "D" drive, just not the "My Music" directory. Seems almost intentional. |

Or the folder might be set to Read-Only for some reason. Right click on it in Explorer and make sure Read-Only is unchecked. |
I have sharing set to that folder and the "Read Only" attribute is set, and I can clear it. When I start Explorer again, is once again checked "Read Only". |
