Since I didn't find any good poll software to be used with MediaWiki, the polling system may be a little awkward, but it works.

It's still possible to submit more logos - at least for the next couple of days while the polls are still running.

I think we'll settle with nice for now.

Well, the problem is finding a good poll rating system that you can use with our wiki without having to go through too much trouble.

Even most advanced content management systems don't offer very good solutions for a larger poll like that and I really didn't want to configure a complete thumbnail/gallery package just for this little task.

Also, since that's the way most polls are done at wikipedia.org or wikinews.org I thought it wouldn't be so bad.

I for one had a bit of difficulty voting yea for the gradient snow flake...as best I can tell my vote was not cast

The wiki will replace # by a number and --~~~~ by your user name or ip and the current time/date

Is the logo allowed to be animated as in a Gif/flash? I'd like to have a go, but been tied down with video jobs being rushed on me last few days & still a bit busy. I need to move my comp yet again shortly. Sounds like you're in a hurry to get one finalised asap.

The logo could be animated GIF, - I don't like flash personally and I disabled it in my browser but I guess it could also be a Flash.

However the logo must be usable (or at least adaptable) for an icon and for the FrostWire client, which pretty much rules out very complicated logos or logos that basically contain just the text "frostwire" with some flashy special effects (of which we have received more than I like).

I was also thinking not everyone has flash support, but most of even the older browsers support gif. It was just a thought anyway.

There are some nice designes on the page..Very good work all!!.. Im pretty sure this isnt the right thread but after seeing the most popular one i kind of thought that the Linspire Clear theme was a perfect fit for default :D ..Matches really well..Crisp and clean, just like new born Frost :rolleyes:
