Incorrect File Tags

I looked through the 2 pages listed and didn’t see any mention of this, tried searching but it seems to search entire forum and not frostwire specifically (it could just be me @ 1am).

I have come across an alarming increase in files being listed as x, download the file only to find out it isn’t at all what it was meant to be, this was slightly amusing the first 3 attempts at a specific file, however it now is just tedious especially after waiting a whopping 8hrs to download each file.

Is there a way to warn other users or somehow let users rate the download as to try filter out the nuts incorrectly naming files whether purposefully or not.

This feature would be blissful and no doubt helpful to all using frostwire.

I'm afraid this is all part of the fun of using p2p. Right clicking on a file in the search window will give you the option "Bitzi Look up" which will take you to a web site where the details of the file MIGHT be found, but this depends on feedback from many users, and whilst it would be great if feedback to the site was better, I understand it is not too easy to report to the site, and less easy if you are a Mac user :(

Previewing certain file types is possible and worth doing. Also if I find a lot of problems with getting a file, I will share a good version with GOOD VERSION or NOT XXXXXX!!! on it which might alert others.

You can always block sharers who share badly named files, but it may just be the one file ... and they haven't got round to checking it.

You can always try to chat with someone , but this does not often work

I hope this helps a little.
