Stupidity? Or Ignorance? Not sure which, but I am a hacker, and we do not do such things. Thank media propaganda for the misconception.

and Geppetto...? wtf? Threads in forums follow chronologically. If I were talking about you, I would have quoted you, or singled you out.
(hehe, flamebait.. it was took!)

Geppetto January 9th, 2006 08:15 PM

Well, you didn't single out pummisher or quote, so I thought you were talking to us both. Move along, nothing to see here...

I should have used the proper term for a bad hacker (cracker). Sorry.

I'm sure there are people out there with hacker skills that use their know-how to cause damage.

Microsoft wouldn't need to patch all those holes if there's weren't bad people out there and there would be no such thing as a virus.

Thanks.

microsoft wouldnt have to patch holes if 1) the user knew what they were doing and 2) if microsoft wrote better code.

:)

@ geppeto: i wasnt trying to be negative.. just telling you that forums follow chronologically ;)

Now Now we all know that if as many people used the other OS out there there would be as many viruses written for them as Windows but there is really nothing to be gained at this time by doing so. Why waste the time what is it I read 90% of the world uses windows.

Not to say that isn't going to change some day. Some countries governments are starting to change OS now due to windows vulnerabilities.

And I am willing to lay odds that when that day comes and the hackers start going after the new king the code will be figured out and once that happens here come the hackers, viruses and vulnerabilities
