![]() If i have a powerfull computer (CPU and memory, internet connection etc.) and i want my FrostWire client to be an UP? is there someplace in the preferences i can define that? What is the way to run my FrostWire as an UP? |

![]() The network will decide at any given moment whether it needs more UP's. It's not a user controlled issue. But to promote your chances, you should have a reasonably fast connection, free bandwidth for both uploads & downlds. You'll also need to ensure that Disable UP capabilities is not checked under Speed options. Oh ... & you need to make sure you're not firewalled. Incoming must be true. See this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? |

![]() period or i can be an UP when i first run my client? i thought that the difference will be in the tags i send in the handshake but i see that even if i don't check disable UP capabilities and i allow incoming and i'm not behind a firewall (and on a strong computer) - still i'm just a simple leaf. Isn't there another way i can tell the GNet that i'm willing to be an UP if they need me to? |

![]() Since 4.9.30, FW cannot become UP at startup. To become UP you need a high average uptime and a network in need for UPs ![]() Ciao
