LW/FW won't load...

I know there's 2 similar topics below this one, but my problem appears slightly different and I've searched google for a fix for weeks.

I bought a new machine and LW 4.1xx worked fine for 2 months. I upgraded from aDSL to DSL, still worked fine. 2 or 3 weeks later, LW started loading slowly. The "Go Pro" box would come up gray sometimes but I could close it and still run Limewire. It was calling for oodles of memory while loading, usually between 150 and 350mb.

Eventually, it got to the point where it was still loading 15 or 30 minutes after starting, so I'd just close it out.

I tried turning off the Firewall and Anti-Virus. No change. I uninstalled Java and reinstalled (latest version), no change. I uninstalled Java, installed the previous version, no change.

I've run HiJack This and checked every process running, down to the root folders, and I can't find any viruses.

I tried the new Limewire, it works, but I don't like it. Same with Shareaza and Bearshare, they work yet they suck.

So, I thought I'd try Frostwire. It's doing the same thing Limewire is. The Initializing screen comes up, then the language selection box pops up, but the box is gray. I've tried clicking around the box to find a button but it doesn't work. When I X out of the language box, the program ends. If I move the language box out of the way, I can see the slider moving in the initializing box, but that's as far as I can get.

Any help is appreciated...

I'm having the same problem with LW. When I start the program the splash screen comes up and then the upgrade box is gray as well as most of the application window behind it. Tried reinstalling as well as reinstalling Java. Just installed a new hard drive and had to rebuild system from scratch. At first LW was working but now it is not. The only programs I have installed since are Advanced System Optimizer and I think google toolbar. Let me know of any suggestions.

I found the answer to anyone else having this problem. Follow the link below to another part of the forum. The answer for me was there.
