Mouse over graphic issue with FW

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all first time here but i do have an issue can you help.

After reading the forum i can see the merit of having the
j2re SE v1.4.2_10 windows-i586-p

i found that all my probelms came when i update to

FrostWire 4.10.3 Beta

in saying that i was using the lastest version of java with the older version of frostwire i have updated FW then the trouble started with slow speed lag like you all know and kow i have some speed response back with an excellent connection but i have well you can see by my pic
the things are all there but not until i mouse over then do they appear very annoying

Is there anyone else having this probelm please look at me pic if you have this you will know i also am suspect about the new version it has agraphic of anew snowflake but i still have the ice cube as my .exe shortcut
What does it all mean????

Try changing your skin to see if that makes any difference. Which was your previous version of FW? If not work, then check out the following ideas.

Try deleting your FW preferences folder whilst FW is closed. How to delete your FrostWire Preferences folder

Other thoughts, see The way to fix the Blank screen on startup

What does it all mean? It looks like a Java issue. But it may be Java interacting with your graphic card or a java bug or ... FW interacting with a graphic card driver. If it's possible, change the resolution setting for your monitor & see if that makes any difference. You may need to re-open FrostWire for it to have an effect. ie: if your monitor is set to 600 x 800 then change it to something different, perhaps a larger setting. See if there's any difference.

Same problem with screen refresh/redraw

I'm having this same problem. When starting Frostwire the display is fine, but after minimizing/restoring it to/from the system tray the only thing that shows up is changing info (i.e. counters, percentages, etc...)

If I move the mouse over the tabs / menus they show up. When I select the between the tabs (i.e. "Search", "Monitor") the screen redraws and is readable.

I'm running the latest version of Java and the latest beta version of Frostwire.

Any help is appreciated.

my solution

what i did was this
hi hello there firstlt anyway,
i took everything off ok
then i reinstalled for the .34 version on Fw
then i let it look for jave ok did that
and then i went to the firewall exceptions in the security centre blah blah
i founds that i had a binary file java update 6 from the 1.5 version then i added a program to allow
which was picking Fw of course after that for me, it does work good
i do get no internet connection pop up sometimes abit
i think but it might be fixed in next release maybe you should not give up
plus dont forget to play with
the upload download sliders in the options ok buddy
to see where you pick up a better download rate and speed thankyou
thats all i did honest and it works good now
i think it just about getting to know something new and at free you can't beat that for a little hassle
thanks
Bye
Brad
