I am also having problems with Frostwire. It has worked well for months and all of a sudden I am unable to download any files.

Make sure it's not a simple license issue

Tools > options > downloads. Make sure the number of maximum downloads isn't zero. Try to download just 1 or 2 files simultaneously, rather than lots.
