It stops at the firewall page

If LimeWire (LW) can't communicate with the firewall to be set, then you will need to manually configure the firewall so LW has full access. See the top 3 sections in detail here Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

After the software firewall is configured for LW, & connection device 'modem' or 'router' UPnP is enabled or port forwarded, then LW should be happy. ;) :)

I uninstalled zone alarm and tried. I downloaded both online and offline I turned off my virus I downloaded Frostwire and it runs fine

You "should" have both a firewall & antivirus program enabled & running for your own protection. The idea is to make exception for FW in antivirus & firewall; Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

Oops ... excuse my reference to LW. The instructions of configuration of FrostWire is identical to LW. ;)

Why will frostwire install and limewire locks up ?

Perhaps you have them going thru the same port. Change the connection port for LW. Also try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

no i tried LW yesterday and today gave up on LW thats when i installed FW
