Put Your Good Connections Here I just downloaded FrostWire a couple of days ago and from the start i had the same problem as everyone else with no connection,i kept closing frostwire and restarting hoping that it would get a connection,i guess it's the same as others but sometimes when i open frostwire i noticed that my listen on port would change and just so happen i think i hit the right settings,so i'm posting this for people who have a good connection to post there settings here for others to try not saying that one fits all but aleast it's a start and for those with connection problems try the settings it may just connect,so post your settings here and lets see if it helps if it works write the settings down just in case they change, these are my settings and it's showing i'm behind a firewall but i have excellent connection listen on port 42023 manual port forward 6346 |
I used to use frostwire all the time, caught a virus and had to reformat/reinstall windoze. Ever since then have been plagued by the same "starting connection" problem. For some strange reason by playing with the firewall config settings I can get it to suddenly start working but if I restart the computer the problem starts again until I find another setting that works. So far the following have worked (albeit temporarily) listen on 42023, manual port forward 6346 listen on 6436, UPnP listen on 41146, manual port forward 84436 listen on 833638, UPnP, and listen on 211036, UPnP found the patch and have done that, we'll see if it works :fingers crossed: :) Good Luck |
thank you very much |
