ttree.cache

I notice that FW doesn't contain or generate a file called ttree.cache, as LW did.

Was the file dropped out of FW, or replaced by something named differently that does the same thing?

My mistake (now corrected).

Putting all of the screenshots files in Eraser's "On Demand" and/or "Scheduler" will ensure their complete destruction (they'll all get re-created - empty - the next time you start FW ).

Have a look at them in TextView ( http://www.flos-freeware.ch/textview.html ) and you'll see why they need to go.

TextView is archieved now, but you can still get it here:

flo's freeware - Project Archive . It's a very handy program for examining things you normally wouldn't think of.

I know it works on XP Pro, but it's not being developed anymore, so anything after XP is out. Pete

Updated screenshot of what to include (FW 4.13.3)

Remember - these additions go into Eraser as follows:

In Eraser, click on "File"/"New Task", then click to put a dot in the "File" radio button and navigate to each individual file (make sure you click "Keep Task on List" if you're doing it in the "On-Demand" interface of Eraser). Do this for BOTH the "On Demand" AND the "Scheduler" sections of Eraser. You don't have to do the "Keep Task on List" stuff for the scheduler - it stays there.

Truthfully, you should "erase" the entire "Incomplete" folders in the "On Demand" interface,, but leave that off the "Scheduler" (that way, you have the option of "quick erase" of everything if you need it in "On Demand", but leaving the "Incomplete" contents alone if you just want to erase the rest of the stuff.

All this is assuming, of course, that everything you are actually keeping ("Completed" downloads) is kept encrypted in a TruCrypt (or like) volume.
