 Limewire dirty SOB! the downloads are a joke!

Despite my "turbo-charged" connection, I click on a search result with over 100 sources to download it, and the status perpetually remains as "connecting". I had the same problem with Limewire, and was told to switch to Frostwire. Once in a blue moon a download will randomly work, and it will be super-quick, but this is generally what happens.
