Default transferring songs "not valid podcast URL" please help

hello all
i have a windows XP, a modem broad band connection, the latest version of Java and Frostwire.
I have JUST read that i have apparently been scammed by paying about 18 dollars for limewire pro, because my usual limewire wasn't connecting. Limewire Pro didnt connect either, i think due to firewall issues or maybe because i was SCAMMED. so i downloaded frostwire for free, but im worried that its the same scammer with "too many frustrated users" and so frostwire is the new scam website with a different design!!!

So, i have frostwire and connection is perfect. However, my usual click and drag routine of transferring songs from frost/limewire to itunes is not working.
here is the messqge:
"File:/C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Compaq_Owner does not seem to be a valid Podcast URL".

So to sidestep this i clicked and dragged songs from frostwire to realplayer, and THEN to itunes and THAT worked. But it takes too long...

I read someone else with the same problem and i didnt understand the answer, so please use simple language!!!!

Hello there, instead of dragging the file straight from Frostwire, right click it and go to explore. By doing that, it should open the folder that your file is in. Drag from the folder instead of from Frostwire itself and that should work.
Alternatively, find out what folder your downloads are in, open iTunes, go file and then either add folder to library or add file to library.
Hopefully one of these suggestions should work. If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask and I'll try break it down more for you.
