Frostwire not opening with Mac Leopard?

Hi! I just downloaded Mac's new thing, Leopard onto my Mac. Frostwire used to work just fine, but now it won't open. I tried getting rid of my old Frostwire and downloading a new one, but still Frostwire won't open. I don't know what the problem is. Does it have to do with the Leopard operating system I just put on? Did this happen to anyone else trying to use Leopard on a Mac?

Set up a Test account Setting up a Test Account in OSX (click on link) & see if FW runs or not. Test accounts are easy to create & just as easy to delete later.

Make sure you have all your Java updates via Software Update under the apple menu icon far left top corner of menu bar. Do a safe boot & repair permissions.

May I ask are you running an intel mac & how old it is?

tried the test account thing. It made no difference, frostwire still wouldn't open. There's no new Java updates for my computer either. Yeah I have version 10.6 Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook. It's about 2 years old

If you open Disk Utility, do you see FrostWire listed as mounted device/image? If yes, remove it, I found this can cause problems. ie: select it & choose eject/unmount.

One thing to try is drag & drop the FW program into the trash, drag & drop the frostwire preferences into the trash, drag and drop the Frostwire package file into the trash, empty trash. Then re-install FW. You will find FW preferences folder inside your user account library: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/Frostwire

I'm not sure about FrostWire, but I'm guessing the package file is called install frostwire.pkg ... example image for LimeWire: Receipts folder sample image

I'm guessing if you opened Console you might find a frostwire crash log which 'might' give a clue at the very top few sentences of the log.
