Hmmm.....I found a realy stupid issue with FW 4.21.4! It does not share any files!!!:bangh: I have even try to use the original one, and did a clean install of FW 4.21.4...Just the same resault, and this FW have some issue or bug that cause this behavior!!! I think the new spam filter is the reason for this strange behavior, and I am not sharing spam!!!:w00t:

Same issue for me too. Does not share anything whatsoever on MacOSX. No music files (AIFF, FLAC, mp3, mp4), no video files, no image files.

And I can confirm same problem for Windows on XP. Both of these scenarios are after uninstalling previous version & deleting the previous FW preferences folder.

Nice, FW has become a non-sharing LEECH program not sharing anything. I guess that's one reason I've been seeing so many leechers across the network in recent times.

That's definitely one way to kill the gnutella network. Having nobody sharing files. O.o

Edit: OK I've discovered the default is for all supposed chosen shared folders to be non-shared. Odd behaviour. We need to manually right-click the files & choose 'Share'. Most new users of FW will not understand this & not realise they are not sharing any files.

One would have thought if a person wishes to deliberately choose to share a folder, that all such files within would be auto-shared immediately (after hashing.) And without needing to manually right-click the folder in the upper level or the individual files & choose to share.

thanks for reporting this issue, hopefully it's a newly introduced bug.
We'll fix this and re-issue new installers.

PS: Lay off the hateroade people.

Thanks for notice this too LOTR! Yes I found out as you did and manually added the file for sharing and it did, but for people that do not know that yes they become "LEECHERS" they like it or not...:(
Thanks gubatron I am sure it is a bug and hopefully you guys can fix this quick, and it is important for the Gnutella network for make it work as it should!!! Btw I do not hate any people or the FW Team! I do not have any reason to do so...:)

huh?
Cannot handle constructive criticisms? I really would not be bothered if I didn't care about gnutella programs behaving properly. If you cannot handle criticisms about gnutella program designed to not share by default or installing adware by default, then pfft ... stop being so sensitive.

BTW I did read that post you deleted some months ago before you deleted it. You deleted it because you realised you were wrong. :D But it did say something about you yourself and 'your' attitude. ;) Take care and don't take such criticisms so heavily, they are intended to be helpful, however they may sound to you. :)

Hello File Girl. I have the 4.21.3 and would like to go for the 4.21.4. I have 1 problem. Some of my music went into a file listed as "shared files". This is under the main Shared Files folder. I can't get them to go into the main file I put the music into, "My Music". They are both under the main Shared File list. Any responce would be great. Thanx. Rich.:rolleyes_2:
