FURI- help with basic operation?

I wish to search for and download mp3 music files. I am brand new to Gnutella and have just downloaded FURI 0.6.8. I now have a Furi068 Folder which contains two simple text documents - furi.jar and readme.txt.

Now what?

I would like to find a basic instructional resource but I can't seem to find one. I'm running a Mac with MacOS 9.1 and Netscape 4.76.

welcome fellow Mac (aah) user

http://forums.gnutelliums.com/Forum1/HTML/000024.html

If I may suggest START with Limewire, its easier. Then switch to FURI, its a better progrram at this time.

It soulnds like FURI isn't loaded completely try this:

The Furi java version only comes with those two files. Here is an excerpt from the readme file that tells how to run Furi for java:

Remember FURI needs
Java JDK 1.2.2, or JDK 1.1.7 and Swing 1.1.1.

Type the following to invoke FURI.

java furi.f

For JDK 1.2 and up, you can alternatively start FURI by:

java -jar furi.jar

I use the latter method. The java jdk can be downloaded for free from Sun, http://www.sun.com. After running Furi for the first time other files will be created, check other messages on this board for how to configure for hosts that will connect.
