Question Downloads for Mac only?

Is there a way to filter out unwanted files, such as with the extensions .mpg and .zip, or to only download certain files such as .sit, .sea? Using Mac only files, it is difficult to weed through all the choices that come up in my searches. Any help?

No... but if you submit this request to the 'Feature Request' section of Phex. I will consider to implement this kind of filter soon.

I normally just search for [search] .sit, so I only get mac-specific results.
Sometimes that needs three or four searches (.sit, .dmg, .bin, .hqx, etc.), but that's better than requesting hundreds of unnecessary files, which pose strain upon the Gnutella network (afaik too many replies are worse, than some more searches with only a few replies).

Actually it's just the other way around ;-)
More searches are worse then replies. Searches are broadcasted through the network, while replies are routed back to you.
The network is actually suffering currently from too many searches. Mostly caused from Morpheus, Qtrax and some other nodes that seem to create too many automated searches.

I seem to have gotten something wrog here.

Thanks for the correction!

But why then are queries like .mp3 blocked?

Does it only hold true up to a certain number of replies to each query?

The same is true for acqusition (http://www.aqcuisitionx.com) for MacOSX (also LW-core), but phex is in some respects still better.

It would just need a simpler interface, needs to connect better and to consume less time with hashing my files.
