download waiting for 8h 31min sec? Hi, I just watched my downloads and saw, that some of the candidates have wait times as the above. Is that reasonable? Shouldn't you limit the wait time to 20min or so? Or why is it that high? This mostly happens with Shareaza, but also with LimeWire. It would explain, why some downloads stop working till I restart. (phex 0.9.5.54 beta, about 175 downloads) |
This depends on the error status. Can you tell the exact message you get? The only client I know reporting high waiting times is gtk-gnutella. I have to say Phex has a problem with holding old IP addresses too long. When a host has not been seen for a long time the IP should be dropped. So you end up having a long list of candidates where most of them are too old to successful connect again. I'm woking on improving this. |
The error-message is: Connection failed, waiting for xh ymin sec. Besides: The sec at the end should be removed. I assume it still there from older code. |
