Some questions about setting up private Gnutella network?

hi~~

I want to set up a private Gnutella network in intranet (in LAN or VPN). I select "switch network" and enter a different name. However, it tries to connect to other peers that are not peers I built. And other peers that entered the same network name can't find each other. Besides, when I directly type specific ip of peer to connect, it can't connect to the peer I set up.

Is there anything wrong with my configurations?
How can I setting up a private Gnutella network in intranet?

Thanks for answering~~

Usually it should be enough to change the network name and type the IP with a peer you set up.

I'm currently working on improving private networks so that there are no connection tries to other peers anymore.

Similar situation, different issue.

Phex now running on two LAN computers, NAT port forwarding to different listening ports. Both connected to many remote hosts, search/download fine on both, both have completed many uploads. Files known to be on one are not found in searches by the other.

Attempts to connect are dropped quickly. I've tried both actual (WAN) IP and LAN IP (with and without port number).

Any clue where the problem may lie?

I managed several direct connections via simple internet-connections.

A friend of mine also found files, which are almost exclusively on my computer.
Then he could browse my host.

There are certain conditions to be meet for search results to be returned.
Can you tell me the connection between the two hosts?
Do they act as Leaf or Ultrapeer?
Also what is the firewall status flag of the hosts?
A firewalled host does not return queries to a host which is also firewalled.
