intranet connectivity

Hi,
I just downloaded phex for mac os X. I am in an institute where people use shareaza (windows) to share files. Can phex be used to connect to the gnutella network and locate nodes in the intranet. currently iam unable to configure phex for the same. Kindly help.I am behind a firewall so i cannot connect to the net.

Two ways I know:

1) Add the internal IP of a host into each program. Then they find the othher IPs automatically.

2) Set up an internal GWebCache and add it to the standard-GWebCaches in Phex (you'll have to compile it yourself for that).
