Phex 2.1.2.79 Beta uploads

i have every 5 seconds 10 new clients on my pc ( they wanna have a download from me) . they are al getting a status : aborted . not by me but PHEX does do this .

upload is fine have no problem with that , i know the statistics are broken ( have read that ) but is this a visual gui bug or can they not connect to me ?

if so is there a patch to solve this or is there a new beta version availble /?

Are they file you are currently downloading? If yes clients are requesting partial file ranges that you haven't downloaded yet.

Ciao

i understood that , but i have more then those 2 files ,

But you are right they are downloading the file with the highest priority , and only that one , and that is strange . because i have more .

so probaly a bug . everybody is trying to download one and the same file :

i have 85% of that file . so everybody is trying to get the 15% i dont have and get aborted , or it is impossible to upload and that function is broken .

Hi All,
I have the same problem?
Ive downloaded without any probs with the same version.
Im using windows xp pro with DSL 256k.
I think this might be affecting the speed at which I download.
Im sharing around 2gigs of mp3's and mpgs,AVI's etc and nobody has downloaded an electronic sausage from me as yet!
I have read the forum pretty closely (I joined today.) But can find no other posting etc.
What on Earth is happening?
Of course if phexers think your leeching then naturally they will ban you.

I Like the Phex Client though! it's Kinda cool.

Maybe you could try sharing less for starters.
Phex first needs to hash all your files, and this can take some time. Till all has been hashed, noone can download from you.

I think A couple of days should be enough time for files to be hashed!
Problem is ongoing.
slowest for hashing Ive found is emule.

No that Isn't the problem I think there's a glitch somewhere?

Thanks for replying though!

Just check at http://sf.net/projects/phex to get the betas

Also you can download them from CVS (Concurrent Versioning System)

Here's an instruction, but please wait, till I have found a way to include the download of ants into the mix..
The cvs-versions are the cutting edge, so they are often hard on your computer, but you can see all the new features :-) (It's what I do)

Which system do you use?

------

Just create a new folder on your mac named CVS (or anything similar, the phex folder will be inside)
Open your Terminal (util
type "cd " and drag and drop your folder on it
press ent

put the following string into the terminal

"cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/phex login"

press ent

"cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/phex co phex"

press ent

If it doesn't work, register at sf.net and use your User name instead of "anonymous"

type "cdphex/build"
press ent
type "./compile"
press enter
