Phex 2.6 FINAL released

This release of Phex focuses again on improved download reliability. Many measures were taken to reduce the risk of lost or broken downloads.

Additionally Phex started to integrate improved file verification, once fully implemented it will allow us to identify and correct possible download errors better.

To work around Windows XP SP2 limitations and reduce the number of failed connection attempts Phex now throttles concurrent connects on XP SP2.
Read http://www.phex.kouk.de/mambo/content/view/49/33/ for more info.

Mac users please stay patient a few days for an OS X release.

Get Phex now at : http://phex.kouk.de

Arne: why do your Phex icon in the dock shows four Phex? It has always been the case but wondering... also the icon (containing one phex) seems somewhat transparent: might be the cause of the four phex...

Can you send me your phex.error.log. I assume the cause might be in there...

Could it be that you have write permission problems in your incomplete directory?? Phex might be unable to create intermediate files.

Salut GregorK, I do not have a phex.error.log

It looks that Phex tried to download to an invalid (absent) directory, maybe it was the cause of the freeze because setting a new valid one works. Can't Phex create a directory where it is specified if the directory is absent?

Ciao

Well it should...

Guess nobody complained about it before and I never ran into that problem. Unfortunately this is often one of the reason why many obvious bugs dont get discovered and fixed quickly.

I filed a bug report about it
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?fun...group_id=27021

The bug should be fixed in the next release...

four foxes

Hi et voilą,

the four foxes is simply, because I wanted to have a 128x128 thumbnail, and the resource ficture I had access to was only 48x48, so I multiplied it, but only for big-icons.

Now the dock always shows big icons, so you see the four foxes (Did you see the four foxes, when you opened the disk-image?).

The transparent fox wasn't really intentional, but I left it so, because I somehow liked it (And it took quite some time to get that icon-prog to do my bidding :) ).

Bug: Not able to add something to share

Hi Gregor,

In the MacOSX Version (2.6.0), I am not able to add a folder to the share:
As soon as I click the "share"-button, it opens a window, but I can't select a folder in there, because the select button stays greyed out.
