Default switch to download

When I download, there is a click-box which allows the option of switching to the download screen. In my version, the default is on.

Sometimes, I want to set it to off, so it stays on the search screen. The trouble is that with every download, it's set to on again.

Is there something in the options which allows you to set the default to off? I didn't see anything.

If you select quick download, the download starts (hopefully) in the same way as if you select download. It does not give you an option to change the file name, or switch you to the download page.
I know what you mean about the check mark, but I haven't tried removing it. I just use quick download. I hope this makes sense, and even helps
