You should refer to those as promotion material, not propaganda ;) Propganda means no credibility :p

Did you create the whole pic by yourself, or do you have full copyrights for the edited source-file?

No, unfortunate i dont have copyrights for "samurai " and "fox head".

I will try create my own [Free of copyrights] version of this picture in next few days.

This looks quite great, but sadly we (ie:everyone officially involved with phex) won't be able to use it.

p2p programs can run into a great many problems by stating, that they are to be used to download warez, etc.

You see these copyright-warnings in Phex not for nil. They are simply necessary, because any program intended mainly for the purpose of copyright-infringement (or worse) is plainly illegal.

That is why legal and non-infringing usages of Phex are very important. For example downloading the next version of "the scene" or downloading my cc-licensed stories and songs :)

Naturally I'd very strongly encourage you to do the latter, because I want as many people as possible to see, read and listen to them.

Some other non-infringing uses:

Downloading Gutenberg-ebooks (simply search for "gutenberg ebook").
Creating private Networks with your friends.
Efficiently finding and downloading shareware and freeware programs for your needs.
Downloading materials from magnetmix.com .
Downloading Materials which you will be able to automatically get from the "Phex Polar Skulk" or any similar propagating group (This is just in the works).

Do you know what I thought, when I saw the first picture? "We'd definitely need the bright side, too" :)

Maybe you could change the "legal" to "free", but that's purely cosmetic.

But please be aware, that you are placing yourself in risk, if you use pictures you don't have the copyright for, could backfire.

My quick opinion about so called "intellectual property":

1. Dont distribute other peoples materials as your own work.
2. Share with knowledge
3. Knowledge should be free - because it is essencial for humans.
4. Dont try to make money on knowledge (except cost of media etc..)
5. Sharing ONLY for money (piracy) is bad thing.

Knowledge from books, source code, anything...

What is more important for us [b]as humanity[b] ?
Knowledge or "intellectual property" ?

Knowledge is gift for ALL mankind - not just for the rich part...

This is not about me disagreeing with you.

It is only about the law not agreeing with you and the Phex developers don't want to get in conflict with these laws (we are normal people, too, and a natural target, so we must be extra careful).
