Invalid Handshake

New to Phex but not P2P. Cannot connect to any peers at all. Every attempted connection immediately gives an error message 500 Invalid Handshake. Have used it successfully on the same computer in the past.

Tried both wired and wireless with same results.

XP Pro SP2 Sygate Personal Firewall, working behind wireless router.

I've tried turning off the firewall completely and still doesn't help.

Invalid handshake, i think it mean that it failed to connect to the network

I know that means the connections are being made, I was just hoping someone had experienced it before and had a solution. Thanks.

Could it be that you configured a private network or changed any configuration values in the past?

You can also try to delete your phex.cfg file while Phex is not running, this would delete all settings.

Are you only getting 500 errors or also 503.
