Hi GregorK.

Sorry for so late response. I had some problems :(

Well, I tried your suggestions with no luck. Disk activity is too high! :(

As soon as I start a download, my disk light doesn't stop.

I tried the last update from cvs today (2006-03-08) and it is the same.

If you have any other suggestion, please, let me know.

My system:

Gentoo Gnu/Linux Kernel 2.6.15
Java 1.5.0_06
KDE

I don't have opther suggestions, either, I fear.

I hope the bug will show itself not to far in the future.

Since you already tried using CVS maybe you would also like to try a first experimental implementation of a download write buffer.
We switched to SVN recently so you need to use SVN to get the branch sources located at:

The modifications are very new and were quite heavy so be aware of possible errors/crashes/corruptions.
