incoming vs outcoming

Hi all,
I'm a phex user.

1) What is the different between incoming and outcoming remote hosts?
2)I've update the file phex.hosts with the new 3000
hosts, but now statistics are zeroed

many thanks

Hi...

1)
Outgoing connections are connections your phex client is opening to other gnutella clients. Incoming connections are connections that other gnutella clients are opening to you.
For every outgoing connection someone else as a incoming connection on his host since he is receiving you connection request.
If you are behind a firewall only outgoing connections are possible since the firewall blocks of the incomings. Technically it makes no difference if the connection is incoming or outgoing.

2)
The statistics are totaly independent from the hosts. But you will only see statistics once you successfully connected to at least one host (outgoing or incoming ;-) )
