Just like Limewire

I have just d/l Phex 2.8.6.95. I install it after reading about it on the forum. In fact when I started it, most of the connections is made to Limewire. So, it's either Phex or Limewire.... just the same. ;)

Not exactly.....both use the Gnutella Network, and so does Bearshare and some others.
I, for example, have a lot of Bearshare connections. It seems to be something about the 'pool' or 'horizon' you're connected to at any specific time. You will actually see another 'horizon' every time you login to the Network (if I haven't understood the principles of the Network in a wrong way)......;)

I think you're quite right :)

And if you want to know how the network works, you can have a glimpse at

As with foolonthehill, I find far more bearshare connections as a rule. I suspect if you reconnect you will find a totally different set of connections. but it is like a different make of car using the same network of roads, just in a slightly different way :)

I've actually read quite a bit about the principles of p2p networks. Was a thesis called "P2Pframework" by Raymond Panko; quite interesting, so to say.
I thought it might be good to know a bit about it, since I try to give some people here and there some advice......;)
And if my schedule allows me, I'll definitely take a look at your suggestion. It's never to late to learn somethin'.........:D :)
