Phex won't start...

Hello,

Earlier, I installed Phex 2.8.6.95 and now, when I run it, it gets to the splash screen and the process doesn't start. I updated to Java 5.0-7 but that didn't fix it. I saw GeorgeOCanda's thread and thought I had a possible solution, but I run WindowsME and not XP.

This is the first time this has occurred. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Did Phex 2.8.6 ever run before for you?
Can you post the output you get when you start Phex with the 'Phex 2.8.6 Debug' start option.

Yes, 2.8.6.92 was the version I used previously that worked.

As for the output log...um, how do you print that out? I looked for the information but either I'm blind as a bat or I looked in the wrong spot, and no of the tricks I tried worked in printing the full list.

To copy text, click once on the icon in the upper-left corner of the window. A menu appears with standard commands, such as Minimize and Maximize. At the bottom, an Edit menu includes the Mark and Paste options. Choose Mark. Now use the mouse to highlight the text to be copied and press ENTER. In another application, choose the Paste command to retrieve the text.

I followed your instructions, and this is the only thing it would mark. That's what it listed when I ran the debug program, so I don't know if that is the right thing. Hopefully, it is.

Send me your email address as a PM. I might be able to email you a replacement library that could solve your problem.

When I open Phex and it crashes (both 2.8.2 and 2.8.6).

The strangest thing is that it had worked before. I registered my iPod shuffle and installed some VOIP applications.

This is what happens when I run Phex 2.8.6 through the command line:

Where is this FW table and how do I fix it? Can I just delete it?

What to do with:phex.gui.common.table.FWTable.updateFWTableSc rollPane

If Phex crashes with in a phex.gui.common.table.FWTable.updateFWTableScrollP ane with a NullPointerException, you can try deleting the .phex directory in your home directory. This worked for me. Doing so means you will lose configuration data though.

Deleting .phex/phexgui.xml should be enough most of the times.
