Great! This is the kind of error report I was looking for!
It will be fixed in the next release.

If you like to experiment download this file:
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.c...r.jar?rev=3330

Add add this line:
<string>$JAVAROOT/MRJAdapter.jar</string>
to the Phex.app/Contents/Info.plist file
above the line
<string>$JAVAROOT/phex.jar</string>
