Magnetic Links with PHEX

Having just installed PHEX software successfully, I have tried to click on the magnetic links on the FindHash or Shareheaven websites. Unfortunately the links don't seem to appear in my download list.

Any advice on how to configure PHEX to accept magnetic links would be highly appreciated.

Best regards

Instead of clicking, you can try to copy and paste the link into the 'New Download' dialog.

On some system the magnet link integration with browsers fails to work...

Which System do you use? (windows, linux, macosx, ...)?

I use Windows XP. Please explain how to copy / paste the links on this website into Phex:

Sorry, edited out, counts as posting files, agaiinst forum-policy. I'll answer anyway, since it is quite interesting. - arne_bab

Thanks in advance for your expert help.

Magma Lists

As far as I understand these are links to files which are proven and authentic. This should certainly help by eliminating time lost with fakes or poor quality downloads.

My question is where can one get these Magma lists from?

Please advise.

about findhash.com: They seem to be doing some bad scripting mumbo-jumbo, and that stops you from seing the magnet directly.

You could however turn off Javascript and read the sourcecode of that html-page... I just tested it, and it works.

The magma lists are as of yet only avaible from the phex wiki (http://wiki.phex.org) and my personal homepage ( http://draketo.de ), but you can create them yourself very easily and put them online (but be careful with copyright). Here's a guide on them:

You can also download the Polar Skuk edition of Phex, which automatically gets you selected free and legal files via several magma-lists (which can be moderated by different people), or download those different magma-lists directly:
