The new forums
 

Hi GregorK and Arne_Bab. I look forward to seeing more people using Phex and more activity in the new forums:) I'm thinking it may be a little hard to find one's way around and have mentioned this to LOTR.
I'll do my best to help out if I can in any way:)

I have some ideas, how to get Phex Users more active, most needing these forums :)
For example you can see one at Polar Skulk.

That's a community of free content gatherers I want to form in the "Polar Skulk" Board.

I'm getting my head around Polar Skulk, which is taking some reading and understanding. Are there plans to involve other clients, or websites with similar philosopy, or keep it as a Phex only thing?

As for the forums, I find, at present they are a bit hard to get around, and so I am sure newcomers will find it harder. It would be so good to see all the latest posts in all the phex forums, together (as you can with the Gnutella forums as a whole). It seems one has to go through them all one at a time, and for sure people will post in the wrong forum fairly often :). I'm not sure it is possible with the present format.

Personally I would love to make this a joint effort of many clients, but for that we'd need magma-support in all those clients.

Every client which supports magma readout, automatic readout of downloaded magma-lists and subscription to magma-lists can take part in the polar skulk and will get a cheerful welcome.

(Basic Magma isn't that hard to support, and Basic Magma is all you need for that: http://sourceforge.net/projects/magma )

It would also be great to cooperate with websites, which have a similar philosophy, getting their best files into Gnutella, too.
