Filtering IP's for downloading I am behind a firewall ( a HW Router) and my understanding is that I will never be able to connect to other users behind firewalls at their end. It's born out by the fact that push-to-transfers never get anywhere. My question is that no matter what I do with various filters, the download window will still come up with IP addresses that I don't want it to download from... i.e. 192.168.*.* How do I stop it trying to download from this IP Also, just like to say that this is by far my favourite Gnutella Client that I've used on MacOSX. Thanks -Adrian |
filtering the search results by ip addresses to not show files that cant be downloaded (like 193.168.*.* and 10.*.*.* and 127.*.*.*) is a feature all the clients need but not one has. why has noone realized this yet? |
i meant 192.168.*.*, typo..... |
Hi, unfortunately we don't filter this automatically but you can do the following: - Add the mentioned private IP's to the 'Filtered Hosts' list. ( You can use the * ) - When searching turn on the 'Filtered Hosts' option below the search field. Now your search results should not contain the IP's anymore. I guess this should also work for automated search if you leave the 'Filtered Hosts' option on. But I'm not sure right now. ;-) Gregor |
