Bug in packageing? NoClassDefFoundError: phex/SplashWindow I downloaded phex 0.62 but when I try to run it it compains that: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: phex/SplashWindow at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:native ) at kaffe.jar.ExecJarName.main(ExecJarName.java:70) at kaffe.jar.ExecJar.main(ExecJar.java:59) So I guess you've forgotten some important class when you jar'd it? -- lucas |
I should also say that I have Java 1.3.1 and am running redhat linux 7.2, so obviously I use the command: java -jar phex.jar ... and it doesn't work... :) |
Sorry but I don't think that there are some classes missing... Otherwise everybody would have this problem. Please make sure you are really using the right java version. This package definition 'kaffe.jar.ExecJar' looks suspicious to me, since the Kaffe Java VM is a Java 1.0 implementation. Please check with 'java -version' and verify your PATH settings. Gregor |
I've got the same problem on RH7.2 and this is what mine says when i do the java -version. I downloaded the new Java stuff and installed it (i think). am I right? I'm using the KDE desktop also. You are not using Java 1.3 Get the latest Java version from IBM or blackdown.org I dont know which one is usable for your plattform though... |
