phex is becoming outdated

when will anew client be released - it must definitley have swarm downloads as a lmost all oher clients have even some new ones - what is happening some time ago phex was leading the way now it fell quite back

The main problem is that when Phex was leading it has 3 to 4 active developers each contributing great new concepts. Now I'm the only developer working full on Phex with some little assistence here or there. This makes it hard to move on.

Phex has swarming code ready and it kicks. All thats left to code is the user interface integration. I cant promise if the next relase will include it or if we release some more bug fixes first.

An (hopefully) easy feature request

Hi Gregor,

If you want some people just to give you new general ideas, here#s at least one:

It would be nice if the size-numbers were displayed a bit more organized.
TO do it, you could just inclue a spaceor a dot every three digits:

12.157.215 bytes is much easier to read than 12157215 bytes

And thank you very much for providing phex! It is great (even though I switched to limewire ofr a short time, I came back to mommy womb in the end *g*)

PHex is great, I only needed the example of Limewire again to see why phex is better!

Besides: doesn't the ultrapeer-technology harm the network, because fewer and fewer are accepting incoming connections, since using ultrapeer is more effective?
Won't gnutella lose its users when it allows them to remain hidden, so that the load balances more and more upon a few people with fast connections?
Why should those people stay contributing, when they are the only ones, who allow others to connect to them?

I think ultrapeer seems good, but isn't on the long haul.
