Guys,

Regarding advertising, how about you just do it properly? Oh yeah, then you wouldn't get all the free advertising that privacy advocate uproar generates ...

Anyway, for what it's worth, here's an example I just picked up today .. surprisingly I do actually use some adware ... !

So if they can do it, why can't you, LimeWire, BearShare, Xolox? Seems they're still going strong, up to major revision 6 of an excellent product, and narry a complaint from their users.
