Super Peers / Super Nodes

I'd like to know more about SUPER PEERS and SUPER NODES. If I got it rights it's a way to build a hierarchy in the distributed network? Any hints on what to read and where to find it?

same link as last question: FAQ, Gnutella RFC, Ultrapeer (which sux but at least a try).
