Servent Business?

Hello,

I'm nearing completion of a gnutella client. Over the development period of this client, I've decided to implement the gwebcache system (usually referencing gwebcache.bearshare.net) when the client begins. Unfortunately, I've noticed that a vast majority of the servents I contact in an attempt to connect are met by 503 errors (either Full or Unavailable). I'm curious as to whether or not there exists a better server or method for obtaining a list of less-full clients.

My client currently implements both the hostcache system and the gwebcaches (I even query the initial gwebcache for a list of other gwebcaches and probe them for servents).

At this point, I'm beginning to wonder if it may be something related to the User-Agent tag (to which my client currently describes itself as 'X').

If anyone could please point me to a resource that might allow me to have a higher rate of success as far as finding peers to connect to, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.

Zivilyn

There's no way, maybe you should try to request from other caches because there are not many caches so it gets kinda overload for the clients listed in the caches.
