GPL Violation

Hello,

I am sending this here for 2 reasons, first it may be of interest to Gnutella developers and secondly I wasn't really sure where exactly I should send it as: [email protected] is bouncing. I am sure the Limewire staff reads these forums.

How is the license violated:
The binary does contain the GPL license however all attempts to contact him including public forums in which he has replied to my concerns http://www.sciforums.com/f72/s/showt...threadid=26389 . Initial contact with the authors was attempted on June of 2003 in whom I had re-sent the message numerous times during that period to the time the posting was placed on the message board. A week since the post on the message board I have yet to receive any direct reply from the author. Only later had I received a direct message from another user attempting to get access to the code whom had received a link to a site ( http://acquisitionx.org/ ) containing a 3 month old version of the code ( http://acquisitionx.org/acqx/CHANGELOG.txt ) lists it as version 0.851 and the current version in which I have the binary is 0.966 ( as seen on www.xlife.org, the file date seem to collaborate this fact.
