help gnutella new user
 

Hi,

Im reading gnutella rfc's 0.4 , now im reading online that a new version 0.6 is on development.

Yes i must be read all rfcs before question, but i like to know while reading rfcs what version of the gnutella protocol should be implemented in a new own servent to use in Gnet and other p2p networks.

Hace poco que he comenzado a leerme el protocolo de gnutella con la intención de programar un cliente propio para conectar a gnet y otras redes p2p. Me estoy leyendo el rfc de la 0.4, pero esta mañana me ha dado por visitar online alguna información mas y me he encontrado con la versión de desarrollo la 0.6, asi que me gustaría que alguien me indicara si hago bien usando la 0.4 para el producto, y leyendome de paso la 0.6 para tener en cuenta algunas cosas para el futuro, o ya se esta implementando la 0.6.

Definitely use 0.6
0.4 has been deprecated for a long time.

Also read the archives of the GDF ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/the_gdf/ )

There are many specs tehre, which aren't in the rfc.

For a quick overview of the changes since 0.4, just look into http://gnufu.net

Now im finishing on reading the complete protocol 0.4. In a few hours i will be to begin to learn all about 0.6 and also look these links.
