Default Initial Entry to Gnutella

Ok, I'm sure the pro-gnutella-devs are probably getting irritated by this question, but heres a problem I'm having.
Working on a Open Source VB.NET Gnutella Framework, building a freeware Pocket PC application to bring Gnutella to Pocket PCs. "YAY!" Pocket G2 isn't freeware...

ok so anyways, heres my problem
I know how to get a list of servents from GHostCaches, but out of like, 200 servents that I collect only 2-3 of them turn out to be UltraPeers which totally sucks *** because the collection process took long enough...
Now heres what I'm wondering, how the hell does LimeWire connect so freakin fast. What am I doing wrong here?
(1) Can someone please tell me how to connect to the network faster and if its by using some sorta hostcache mechanism please do provide some reliable hosts that I can use.
(2) How do I get my client (current unnamed) to use UHCs, like how does the whole thing work, who do I connect to?, what do I send?
list of reliable UHCs? pretty please?

Anyways, after the release of my project, I'll be launching a website for it and a GHostCache too, and another one customized for my open source framework that people can use. My customized hostcache will list only availble working, properly functioning ultra peers

Hi Israfil, I'm afraid I don't understand much of your post... my ignorance ..nothing to do with you But you might like to got to www.limewire.org where the Limewire developers hang out, and on the home page is a link to "forums" which are the developers' forums. I hope this points you in a suitable direction.

So are you saying you are trying to write a VB.net module for gnutella, or that you are using a VB.net module to write your own app?

im was trying to make a vb.net module.
i launched a sourceforge project called Vutella. An open source gnutella framework made in VB.NET the project got a good initial start and i abandoned it cuz theres no lack of greedy *** vb programmers.
All they did was come, join, steal my code agree to work on classes i assigned them and run away :|. So now, i just help out vb.net programmers out as much as i can...
in other words, i gave up on this project. if u need help with some part of the proto contact me (pm), no i will not provide source code to the stuff ive done so far nemore :|

So is there any existing code available at SourceForge, or has it all been pulled? (I can't seem to find any.)

Honestly, I really have no idea even where to start... I just know I want to write what will ultimately be a Vista Media Center interface for downloading music from the Gnutella network, using Visual Basic. If you could give me any pointers, samples, etc. I would appreciate it. I'm used to OOP, where I know what the objects are and how they are defined, etc. but can't seem to find any details out there for how to do such things with Gnutella...
