Where Do I Start??

I am Visual Basic developer .... (wait for the laughter and jeers to die down)....okay...now down to business. Where do I go to start write a gnutella client. I know VB, but nothing about gnutella. I just wanted to do it for fun and because each of the other clients bug me.

Any resources you guys can point me towards would be great. Remember, I know VB, not C or C++ or Java. Thanks
