Chances are, that you won't have good chances, if you don't supply some info.

In this forum there are at least 5 clients which are already advanced enough to be used day to day, and which also seek developers.
But maybe you're lucky...
In any case: Please stay tuned in here, and if you have questions, feel free to ask them in this board (in a new thread).

Newtellium seems to be from 2002, so it's most likely quite outdated today.

The last 4 years brough heavy changes to the infrastructure of the gnutella network (see http://gnufu.net for more infos and http://the-gdf.org for the implementation details)

You can help yourself with some source-code, i think this link drives you to the Source-code website of Shareaza
http://shareaza.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/shareaza/
Also, be sure to implement G1 and G2 as possible, and, if you want things simpler, use DIYP2P, just modify some little things and you have your own, brand new P2P client

Be aware however, that Shareaza only runs on Windows.

And DIYP2P is based on GnucDNA which had its last release on April 8, 2004, so it's heavily outdated.
